Composition
The Composition specialisation encourages composition in all styles. You have the opportunity to work through all phases of the composition process, from first ideas, through to completion of a professionally presented score, to interaction with performers in rehearsals culminating in public performance.
You will receive individual tuition, acquiring skills in instrumental and vocal writing, orchestration, electro-acoustic music, professional score presentation, rehearsal skills and concert management. You will be encouraged to develop your own personal and original voice.
The works of our composition students are regularly performed by Conservatorium students and ensembles, as well as through professional workshops and opportunities.
